Stäubli Launches QMC123 Premium - Where the Familiar Meets the Future

Stäubli has been providing magnetic clamping solutions to the plastic injection molding industry for more than 20 years. Designed to enhance process efficiencies, reduce mold change times, and improve operator safety, the new system QMC 123 Premium is a symbol of safety, robustness and reliability. 

QMC123 Premium provides greater levels of information with the Stäubli control panel and also features a new and easier to use operator touch screen interface. This enables the validation of the various safety points during mold changing operations. The IMAG-Editor software enables the clamping force for each mold to be calculated prior to loading, based upon the press on which it will be used. This information highlights any potential problems ahead of production. Furthermore, intuitive guidance is provided for the operator, not only during set up, but also provides more detailed information to the operator to assist in diagnosing warnings or error conditions, enabling faster and safe resolution. Therefore, The QMC 123 solution compatible with molding machines ranging 50T to upwards of 4,000T, this latest generation technology will no doubt find its way onto a wide range of new applications. QMC123 is also available as an Essential variant, providing the same level of safety and robust reliability for a more restricted selection of molds

The QMC123 Magnetic Clamping Solution plays a key role as part of a SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) strategy, by minimizing the time between the last good part and the first good new part and is also compatible with the principles of Industry 4.0.
