SUCCESS STORY

Biobank Automation at CHU Grenoble Alpes

The automation of a biobank where a Stäubli robot handles samples at temperatures as low as -150 degrees relieves the employees, increases throughput and improves the quality of the samples.

The biological resource center of Grenoble Hospital stores samples that are used for both diagnosis and research. To improve sample quality and user safety, they were looking for a robot that could operate in a clean and highly demanding environment at temperatures as low as -196 degrees Celsius. Biobank Automation using IRELEC’s robotic sample management system with Stäubli RX160 HD 6-axis robot.
