Compact solution for use between two hose lines

The MBS breakaway couplings were developed specifically for applications between two hose lines typically found in maritime environments.

The innovative design is characterized by its high resistance to lateral forces, than can affect the coupling when hose lines are being coiled. Thanks to the breaking pins technology, MBS separates the line at a defined tensile load and both coupling halves are equipped with a non-return valve each that allows to close the line impermeably when it separates, and to prevent the fluid from escaping into the environment.

Application
  • Loading processes by means of hose lines
  • Loading stations
  • Filling processes
  • Mobile tank systems
  • Ship to ship fluid transfer
  • Ship to rig fluid transfer
  • Ship to shore fluid transfer
  • Bunkering, fuel refuelling
  • Loading / unloading of tank vessels
