ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Staubli Corporation (STC) is responsible for the installation and service of our Textile machine product lines for the North American market. The Service Manager for STC is responsible for the following:

 

  • Managing the service team on daily basis.
  • Guardian of our first-class service policies.
  • Ensure that all activities are properly recorded in CRM according to the rules set by the PUs.
  • Resolving the customer questions and complains by analyzing the situation with great efficiency.
  • Promote the sales of our services; spare parts; preventive maintenance; training; etc.
  • Coordinate with the sales team and different department within the division.
  • Keep track of the spare parts use for service.
  • Manage spare parts inventory level and re-order points.
  • Stay informed about activities in the customer service field.
  • Monitor the service team technical skills and organize training to keep up with product evolution.
  • Stay up-to-date and informed about Stäubli equipment; latest services; spare parts requirements.
  • Maintain and report financial service and spare parts activities.
  • CRM database management, consists of but not limited to:
  • Manage and keep current customer accounts in CRM.
  • CRM data entry of Service Requests (SR); Service Orders (SO); Parts Movements; Installed Base.
  • Manage different Field Service Reports, Installation and Equipment Modification Reports in CRM.
  • CRM onboarding of new Service Supervisors; FST; or Customer Service employees
  • Other CRM service-related tasks not mentioned.

Summary

Responsible for the research, design, and successful implementation of Engineered to Order (ETO) products for Staubli Electrical Connectors.  Duties will include the development and design of new products including insulated busway, cable harness systems, modifications of standard product(s), new custom design(s) and novel application of standard product(s).

  • Gathering and/or providing relevant technical information from and to the customer with the help of outside sales or directly to acquire or deliver all data needed for the proper product utilization or product design.
  • Develop and design new products, if necessary, by engaging all internal resources at Staubli, to ensure proper product functionality in its intended application(s).
  • Serve as technical consultant for inside and outside sales staff and customers of Staubli.
  • Promotion of Staubli products at the inbound customer contact level.
  • Serve as technical consultant for internal manufacturing, manufacturing partners and QC with respect to production and/or assembly of new developed or existing products.
  • Read and interpret international and national standards relevant to specific applications to ensure compliance of new and existing product designs.
  • Perform GD&T, DFM/DFA and DFMEA analysis of newly designed or modified products.
  • Support Staubli internal Test Lab with development of type test protocols and proof of concept test protocols and fixtures/apparatus, as needed.
  • Serve as a trainer in products and applications for Staubli personnel or customers as requested by management.
  • Effectively utilize time to efficiently complete various project design at the same time and perform administrative duties, such as weekly meetings, assisting customer’s technical questions, first time builds, and questions from internal and external vendors.

Qualifications

Summary

The Project Manager Renewable Energy (RE) will be primarily focused on the project planning, execution, and reporting of both development and product upgrade projects for the Renewable Energy business segment.  The Project Manager RE will be the principal authority for project timeline, milestone definition, progress tracking and customer notifications via Field Sales Engineers (FSE), Product Management, and Business Development Managers (BDM).  The project Manager will work across multiple departments to plan Projects, develop scope/budget/timelines, and track/execute the project plan through regular meetings and reporting cycles.  The Project Manager RE’s performance will be judged by how well they keep their projects on scope, on time, and on budget, as well as how they handle getting projects back on track when things go wrong or unforeseen issues arise.

The Product Manager RE will have the challenge of interfacing with RE-dedicated resources, such as Engineering and Sales, as well as matrix-allocated resources such as Quality and Operations.  The Product Manager RE will report directly to the Head of Project Management for North America.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project scope development with the aid of the Sales Manager RE, Product Management, and Engineering.
  • Managing all high complexity or high value RE projects via Gantt Chart applications such as MS Project, Monday.com, or Genius.
  • Coordination of multiple departments as required for project kick-off, work packet development and project timeline, execution, closing, and lessons learned.
  • Regular reporting and dashboarding of projects for review by management and relevant team members.
  • Develop tracking system for all projects, including projects identified, completed, lost and failure mode.
  • Maintain database including application type, market segment and geographical regions (Sales Districts).
  • Utilize the Staubli Stage Gate Process for project flow and advancement.  Fill out, file, and if needed create project-related forms and documents to formally record project vitals and gain sign-off for stage completion.

Summary

Under general direction of the Local, Regional, and Global Heads of Services, this position is responsible to Grow Staubli Renewable Energy Services’ market presence in their dedicated geographic area.   • Schedule and perform PV DC health assessments / inspections / audits on operational systems (this include performing construction QA/QC and third-party commissioning oversight/verification). It can also include Emergency response (dispatch to site on short notice) and investigations on customer’s site premises. Site types include residential, commercial/industrial and utility scale solar installations. The health assessments are focused on the DC distribution part of a PV system (DC connectors and DC wiring)
  • Document results providing a technical report and concise descriptions of any quality issues, including those which have noted deficiencies requiring corrective action.
  • Work with Project Management to manage inspection requests
  • Manage schedules upon multiple platforms with numerous stakeholders
  • Provide closed-loop learnings to cross-functional teams
  • Inspect properties and materials for compliance with plans, specifications, and manufacturers’ requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications, licenses, and insurance required for work as in the assigned region.
  • Perform training education program by rolling out our training program to different customer groups, such as PV asset owner, EPC teams, and/or installers.
  • Responsible for income derived from a set of customers within a defined geographical region
  • Participate and contribute to the growth of Staubli’s renewable energy services business

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must:

  • Possess field experience in construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance of PV systems
  • Experienced in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) throughout a PV projects life cycle
  • Experienced in working in Utility, Commercial and Industrial PV projects
  • 3+ years of experience in solar operations and maintenance, performance analytics, or technical asset management
  • Ability to use fieldwork software technology tools and navigate numerous computer applications and technology independently.

Education and/or Experience

Any one of the following Certifications/ Licenses:

  • NABCEP Certified PV Installer, OR UL PV Installer Certification, OR Professional Engineer, OR Licensed Electrician, OR a combination of NABCEP Associate Certification and Journeyman.
  • International Code Council (ICC) certification as a Residential Electrical Inspector
  • License as a General / Electrical Contractor or license/certification as a solar system installer

Summary

Responsible for supporting Test Department with the development of Engineered to Order (ETO) products for Stäubli.  Duties will include the testing and validation of new products including modifications of standard product(s), new custom design(s) and novel application of standard product(s).

Primary focus on Industrial and Alternative Energy products, which includes solutions in the Photovoltaic, Energy Storage, BOS Cabling Solutions, Power Transmission and Distribution, Modular and Circular Connector and Automated Charging Markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acquisition, interpretation, and presentation of test data into oral and formal written reports and/or graphical charts.
  • Preparation, coordination & execution of development & type tests as well as damage analyses not limited to the following areas:
  • Electrical (high current, high voltage, insulation resistance, partial discharge & high frequency), Mechanical (tension/compression & cyclic), Visual (microscope, camera, endoscope), Environment (climatic, salt spray, IP, impact / drop test, alternating bending load, vibration & harmful gas), Thermal measurements (thermocouples, RTDs, & Thermal imaging)
  • Reads and interpret applicable industry standards.
  • Assembles and maintains novel fixtures, automation, and test setups.
  • Operate and maintain automation and custom test programming for equipment interaction using PLCs and/or LabVIEW.
  • Provide feedback to engineering regarding mechanical and electrical design feedback, optimization, and end-user safety.
  • Provide explanation of technical processes and concepts to colleagues.
  • Follows work instruction to perform lab equipment calibration and routine maintenance.
  • Effectively communicate with the technical staff, handle questions promptly and explain decisions concisely.
  • Able to travel, as required.
  • Complete other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Be able to use critical thinking and problem solving to resolve technical related issues.

  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Familiar with International Standards from UL, IEC, VDE, DIN, ASTM, TüV and ANSI
  • Be a self-starter and work under limited supervision.

Education and/or Experience

  • AA degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience in industry or military training desired.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an Engineering lab or electro-mechanical background.

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620C Certified

Market development

  • Aggressively promote the sale of company products in accordance with company policy.
  • Develop full knowledge of the assigned company products and their function and application.
