ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Staubli Corporation (STC) is responsible for the installation and service of our Textile machine product lines for the North American market. The Service Manager for STC is responsible for the following:

 

  • Managing the service team on daily basis.
  • Guardian of our first-class service policies.
  • Ensure that all activities are properly recorded in CRM according to the rules set by the PUs.
  • Resolving the customer questions and complains by analyzing the situation with great efficiency.
  • Promote the sales of our services; spare parts; preventive maintenance; training; etc.
  • Coordinate with the sales team and different department within the division.
  • Keep track of the spare parts use for service.
  • Manage spare parts inventory level and re-order points.
  • Stay informed about activities in the customer service field.
  • Monitor the service team technical skills and organize training to keep up with product evolution.
  • Stay up-to-date and informed about Stäubli equipment; latest services; spare parts requirements.
  • Maintain and report financial service and spare parts activities.
  • CRM database management, consists of but not limited to:
  • Manage and keep current customer accounts in CRM.
  • CRM data entry of Service Requests (SR); Service Orders (SO); Parts Movements; Installed Base.
  • Manage different Field Service Reports, Installation and Equipment Modification Reports in CRM.
  • CRM onboarding of new Service Supervisors; FST; or Customer Service employees

As a Field Sales Engineer, your primary mission is to enhance the market presence and sales of Staubli Electrical Connector products across your designated region. Summary

Under general direction of the Local, Regional, and Global Heads of Services, this position is responsible to Grow Staubli Renewable Energy Services’ market presence in their dedicated geographic area. The ideal candidate will reside in the Southeastern region of the country, near customers and potential customers. You will do this by establishing and growing customer relationships, as well as providing a set of services to these customers in order to grow year-on-year order entry gained from them. Manage and develop the customer relationships by meeting customer expectations and delivering value added services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule and perform PV DC health assessments / inspections / audits on operational systems (this include performing construction QA/QC and third-party commissioning oversight/verification). It can also include Emergency response (dispatch to site on short notice) and investigations on customer’s site premises. Site types include residential, commercial/industrial and utility scale solar installations. The health assessments are focused on the DC distribution part of a PV system (DC connectors and DC wiring)
  • Document results providing a technical report and concise descriptions of any quality issues, including those which have noted deficiencies requiring corrective action.
  • Work with Project Management to manage inspection requests
  • Manage schedules upon multiple platforms with numerous stakeholders
  • Provide closed-loop learnings to cross-functional teams
  • Inspect properties and materials for compliance with plans, specifications, and manufacturers’ requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications, licenses, and insurance required for work as in the assigned region.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must:

Qualifications

  • Experience in the test field and in general measurement technology, as well as in handling measuring devices and testing machines.
  • Experience applying hazardous work controls, safety requirements, & best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a successful technical team, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, and willingness to work in a flexible, changing work environment.
  • Be able to use critical thinking and problem solving to lead technical related issues.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to continual excellence.
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Familiar with International Standards from UL, IEC, VDE, DIN, ASTM, TüV and ANSI
  • Be a self-starter and work under limited supervision.

Education and/or Experience

  • BS degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or technical field closely aligned with essential duties, equivalent work experience or military training desired.
  • 2-5 years of experience in an Engineering lab or electro-mechanical background.
  • Electrical connector or mechanical design experience preferred
  • PLC/LabVIEW Relevant Certification
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620C Certified a plus

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The job of the Sales Engineer is to gain market share at a profitable level within the assigned sales territory for the products manufactured and sold by the relevant division.


MOBILITY: 75% of time


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Market development

  • Aggressively promote the sale of company products in accordance with company policy.
  • Develop full knowledge of the assigned company products and their function and application.
  • Analyze business opportunities by customer, industry, product line and geographic area.

 

Customer relationship management

  • Develop good communication and relationships with customers and potential customers, especially those individuals in decision making roles.
  • Make all scheduled sales calls for new business opportunities in accordance with the plan.
  • Keep a log of customers updated with names, job titles / functions, and addresses.

 

Administrative

  • Submit detailed sales call reports timely in accordance with company policy.
  • Submit expense reports timely in accordance with company policy and monitor and control expenses in a responsible manner.

 

Personal conduct

  • Conduct business in all cases in a professional manner with the company’s best interest and welfare in mind.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree or equivalent experience: Engineer, mechatronic a plus
  • Years of experience: 3-5
  • Broad knowledge and experience in: fluid handling, automation, automotive sales experience
  • Specialized training in: solution sales, project sales management

  • Above average skills in: technical sales in products and markets
